old fashioned roses
I have the most beautiful and amazing deep-red huge roses in my front garden. The smell from them is that strong old fashioned sweet fragrance that modern roses never have. They were here when I bought the house so no idea on the variety, but they are a lovely welcome home.....but every year someone picks them. So, I have picked myself today and they are now filling my house with their heady perfume.

when did you realise you love art...
I was asked this recently and to be honest, art and creating has been part of me as long as I can remember. There are photos at my parents of me in a nappy and mickey mouse bib painting with my hands and my feet! I was obbessed with painting rainbows and I still love colour, and more importantly how colours work together. My father is a sculptor and encouraged me to express my self through art and craft, my first stone sculpture was a sofa for my barbie! Not very comfy, but she is plastic. :-)
As a young teenager I loved Art Nouveau, Klimt and Pre-Raphaelite masterpieces and had these pinned to my walls....
When did you realise art/craft was your life? And what did you have pinned to your bedroom walls as a teenager?
